The Extraordinary Adventures of The Hills: Well... It's Officially Official...

I'M ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Story:

Kellen was VERY good at keeping this a surprise! He was nervous I would know what was going on, but really, I had NO IDEA! Here's a little back ground information to keep in mind while reading how it happened:

1. We have a friend named Kyle who had ordered a ring from the same place Kellen got mine, but it took 3 weeks longer to make than they told him.

2. Kellen got me a new phone, but told me I could have it at the end of our date so I wouldn't be distracted and play with it all night... (He knows me too well =] )

Kellen picked me up around 4:30 on 10/11/11. I had just gotten off work, so I was hurrying to get ready. I wanted to look extra cute. He took me to Park City, where my favorite sushi restaurant is (The Flying Sumo). On our way to the restaurant, we were looking up at all the amazing houses on top of the mountains and were talking about how we wanted to go up there after we ate. I was down, I love looking at houses =]

We got to the restaurant before it opened so we decided to walk up the street a little bit, just to kill time. While we were walking, we were kinda talking about the houses and guessing how much they were, then I brought up "Hey, we need to go to the bank to see how much we can quailify for a loan so we can start looking at places." and he said "I think we should be engaged first." so I said, after being quiet for a second... "Yeah, well when is that gonna be??" so he said, "Well, its kinda out of my hands right now..." Frowning, I said "What??" And he said very seriously, "Well, you know how Kyle had the problem with his ring, and it hasn't come yet? Well, thats kinda what's happening with me..." I was a little bummed when he said that because part of me was really hoping he would propose that night.. But after he said that, I didn't know what to think.

We then went back to the restaurant, to eat.

After dinner, we were driving around for about an hour and a half, just looking at houses and getting a good view of all of Park City! The only goal he had in mind was to find a place that overlooked Park City, but unfortunately, we couldn't find a spot, but I wasn't looking for one because I didn't know that's what he was trying to do.

We then decided to head back to Salt Lake because we had talked about another place up behind the capital that overlooked the entire valley! We didn't exactly know how to get there, but 30 minutes later, we found Insign Peak. That wasn't the place he was thinking of, so we decided to drive around for a few more minutes before we went back to Insign Peak. On top of the giant hill/mountain we had to climb, the view was BEAUTIFUL!!! We sat up there for about 20 minutes, just talking about our future, and the love we felt for each other, just having perfect conversations!

We headed back down to his car, hand in hand, still talking about how perfect our relationship was, and when we got closer to his car, I asked if I could have my phone now. He said, "Yeah, it's in the trunk." So he popped the trunk, opened his car door, I went around back, opened the trunk, and out popped some balloons, inside were rose petals, everywhere, a bouquet of red roses, and a sign that said "Will You Marry Me?"

I WAS IN SHOCK!!

He had me believing it wasn't going to happen yet, but it did!

He came around the back of the car, holding a small white box, and crying. He started telling me how much he loved me, and told me to take off the CTR ring that had been occupying my ring finger. He got down on his knee and asked me to marry him! Of course I said yes, and he slipped the most beautiful ring on my finger! (I picked it, I just forgot how beautiful it was)

The entire night was absolutely perfect!!! I couldn't have been more surprised!
